We are an HMC school and were judged by a recent BSO (British Schools Overseas) Inspection to be outstanding in every area, including quality of education, safeguarding, pupil welfare and academic outcomes. Over 2000 pupils from more than 74 nationalities attend the school and over 315 staff work at BSB. We are based in three locations, two just outside the city of Barcelona – in Castelldefels, where we have a Primary, Secondary and Pre-University campus, and in the cosmopolitan town of Sitges, where we have another Primary campus. BSB City is in the heart of the city of Barcelona itself with a Foundation campus (built September 2021) and a brand‑new main campus which opened in September 2023. BSB City Secondary has a curriculum based on the English National Curriculum. There is a wide range of GCSEs offered followed by the International Baccalaureate Diploma in Years 12 and 13, all alongside a significant enrichment programme. About the Role: We are looking for a full‑time, permanent PE teacher to start in September 2026 in our Castelldefels campus. PE is taught both as a core subject and we also offer academic PE at GCSE level and as part of our post‑16 offer. As a teacher at BSB you will be expected to follow the guidelines set out in the Cognita Teaching Toolkit, including clear expectations for planning, assessment, lesson delivery and wider professional duties. You will also contribute to helping deliver the whole school’s strategic priorities and perform any reasonably required duties by the Headteacher and Principal. A commitment to the wider life of the school, and our enrichment programme, is an expectation of the job. As a member of the PE staff team, you would be expected to play a leading role in the extracurricular sporting provision offered at BSB. Ideally, we are looking for someone with a track record of A Level/IBDP/BTEC and GCSE PE exam success. However, applications from newly qualified teachers will also be considered.
