Role Overview
We are looking for a SENIOR ARCHITECT with a minimum of 10 years of experience, with the ability to lead large‑scale projects in the Concept, Schematic Design, Detail Design and Site Supervision phases, coordinating internal and external teams and managing the relationship with the client. As a Senior Architect, you’d be overseeing and managing projects and teams, while also being involved in the production of projects.
Responsibilities
Lead large‑scale projects in the Concept, Schematic Design, Detail Design and Site Supervision phases.
Coordinate internal and external teams and manage relationship with the client.
Oversee design process, schedule workflow and outputs; ensure delivery of high‑quality designs aligned with our ethos and vision.
Support project delivery alongside a local Associate and Director of Architecture and broader practice support team.
Work primarily in the retail sector (with exposure to other sectors) across a variety of geographies, including internationally.
Build network and profile in Madrid to support job acquisition and business development.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience, leading large‑scale projects.
Experience in retail, shopping centres and mixed‑use projects.
Professional outlook, desire to succeed, positive can‑do attitude.
Calm under pressure with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Proactive, self‑motivated, inspiring others.
Team player who understands true collaborative working.
Attention to detail, high concentration, enthusiasm, ambition.
Highly efficient.
Ability to travel.
Combination of creative abilities and technical knowledge.
Retail, shopping centres and Mixed‑use experience valuable.
Good graphic and verbal presentation skills.
Project and team running experience.
Desire for growth and building a career with us.
Commercial awareness, knowledge of Spanish Building Regulations and excellent attention to detail.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite required.
Proven client‑facing project architect capable of running the design process and then delivering the project as a team leader and primary point of contact.
Fluency in Spanish and English.
Residence in Madrid.
Desire to contribute to business development and client‑facing presentations, and build role in this area.
