Mantell Associates is partnered with a dynamic and innovative biopharmaceuticals company, who is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior HR Director to lead and elevate its human resources function in Spain.This role will partner with senior leadership to drive organisational growth, talent strategy, cultural development, and HR operations across the business.Senior HR Director - Responsibilities:Provide visionary leadership for all HR functions, including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation & benefits, learning & development, and employee engagementPartner with executive leadership to shape HR strategy in support of business goals, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, culture and long-term growth objectivesLead workforce planning, succession strategy, and organisational design initiatives to support evolving business needs in a dynamic biopharma environmentOversee employee life-cycle processes, ensuring best-in-class practices for hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, promotions, and separationsChampion a positive employee experience and inclusive culture; design and implement programs to enhance engagement, retention, and professional developmentManage HR operations to ensure compliance with employment law and regulatory requirements in Spain, and contribute to global HR policy alignment where applicableDrive HR metrics and analytics to inform business decisions, measure effectiveness, and guide continuous improvementAdvise and coach leaders on performance, people risks, employee relations, organisational change and leadership developmentSenior HR Director - Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; advanced degree or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, etc.) is preferred10+ years of progressive HR experience in fast-paced environments, with strong experience in people leadership, strategic HR partnerships, and enterprise HR programsPrevious experience in the biopharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare or related regulated industry is highly desirableDeep understanding of HR best practices, employment law, compensation frameworks, performance management systems and organisational developmentExceptional communication and collaboration skills, with experience influencing at all organisational levelsProven ability to lead, inspire and develop HR teams, and work effectively across multicultural environmentsAnalytical and results-oriented mindset, with strong judgement, discretion and ethical groundingBased in Spain, fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken), with eligibility to work and lead on-siteMantell Associates is a specialist Pharmaceutical and Life Science headhunting firm.
