Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team and work with a leading client in the Oil&Gas and Power Generation Industry . The position is based in Bilbao , and fluent English is required , as the role involves participation in a variety of national and international projects. Key responsibilities Define and establish electrical design criteria in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards Report to the Discipline Leader and actively collaborate in project planning and technical management Perform and/or review electrical engineering calculations, studies, and technical analyses Prepare, review, and validate key electrical discipline documents for projects and proposals Review and approve electrical engineering deliverables to ensure quality and compliance Provide on-site technical support when required Participate in and support inspections, testing, and commissioning activities Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Electrical Department Mentor, support, and train junior and less experienced engineers What you are like If you meet the following qualifications and experience, we’d love to meet you! Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, or Mining Engineer with specialization in Energy). 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, including at least 8 years in detailed engineering for power generation or industrial projects (Oil & Gas, refining, or petrochemical). Proven experience in the design of MV/LV electrical installations for industrial and power generation facilities. Availability and willingness to travel as required by project needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High level of organization and attention to detail Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset Demonstrated ability to work effectively on complex engineering challenges Tools & Skills Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Experience with electrical engineering software tools (ETAP, SKM Power Tools, SmartElectrical, Dialux) is considered a plus Languages English: Intermediate – Advanced level. Minimum B2 is required.
