Your success is our success. Job Summary Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment for general aviation aircraft. Work may involve any of the following: setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal; shaping metal over anvils, blocks or forms using hammer operating soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts inspecting, assembling and smoothing seams and joints burred surfaces. Job Responsibilities Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, drawings, written and verbal instructions. Lay out sheet metal parts using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal instructions. Alter an existing part using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal commands. Rivet and remove sheet metal components. Bend and form a radius on fabricated sheet metal parts. Drill various metals. Deburr holes and cut lines. Set up for countersinking and dimpling of holes. Set up for and install solid rivets with a rivet gun and or squeeze tool. Install blind rivets and fasteners. Ensure parts meet quality specifications and requirements. Use mechanics hand tools and measuring devices, such as a scale or protractor. Daily effective communication with TSMs, Mechanic Leads, and others that support aircraft arrival, maintenance and departure to ensure customer satisfaction. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications High school education or equivalent. Requires the use of simple arithmetic such as addition and subtraction of decimals and fractions, simple drawings and some measuring devices. Experience Requires a minimum of five years of diversified aviation sheet metal experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Skilled in identifying types of corrosion. Skilled in corrosion removal procedures. Skilled in the application and removal of wash etch and alodine material. Skilled in the application of primer. Identify rivets, bolts, screws, and nuts and washers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
