We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager for Information Technology (IT) to join our global team. This pivotal role is responsible for driving significant cost reductions and value creation across assigned Business Technology categories. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader, adept at building and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers and collaborating across all organizational levels to define business needs, develop innovative sourcing solutions, and negotiate contracts that optimize total cost of ownership. A deep understanding of strategic sourcing, stakeholder management, supplier relationship management, market dynamics, and financial analysis is essential. In this role you will proactively identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and risk mitigation within the procurement function, and will be responsible for developing and presenting category strategies and performance reports to senior management. Core Responsibilities: Category Strategy & Leadership: Develop and champion comprehensive category strategies that deliver substantial cost savings, improve supplier performance, and mitigate risk across BT categories. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of category managers, providing expert guidance on best practices, negotiation strategies, and effective stakeholder management. Sourcing Project Oversight: Oversee the execution of strategic sourcing projects, ensuring strict alignment with defined category strategies and overall business objectives. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, effectively influencing decision-making and driving consensus for sourcing initiatives. Contract Negotiation: Lead complex contract negotiations with strategic suppliers, optimizing terms and conditions to maximize value, mitigate risk, and achieve favorable outcomes for the company. Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Develop and implement robust supplier relationship management programs, fostering strong collaboration and driving continuous improvement with key partners. Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement process improvements within the procurement function, enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and overall operational excellence. Reporting & Presentation: Develop and present comprehensive category strategies and detailed performance reports to senior management, clearly demonstrating value creation and impact. Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership and expertise in strategic sourcing, staying abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and innovative approaches. Skills & Experience Requirements: Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; Bachelor's degree required. 15+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management, with a proven track record of delivering significant cost savings and value creation. 5+ years of dedicated experience in category management, demonstrating expertise in developing and executing complex category strategies including BT sourcing methodologies, best practices, and market dynamics. Demonstrated experience in people management, including successfully leading, mentoring, and developing a team of professionals.
