Deadline to apply: 30/04/2026 We are looking for a Structural Engineer in support to ATG Engineering for one of our locations in either Noordwijk, The Netherlands, Barcelona, Spain or Frascati, Italy. Please be aware that this position will initially be for a definite period of 9 months, with the possibility of extension. For the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Upon selection, they will be subjected to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). Responsibilities Conceptual and detailed design of Structures and Mechanisms; Modeling and analysis of spacecraft hardware using FEM and other methods; Generation, review and/or negotiation of requirements/specifications, development plans, verification plans, test plans and test procedures; Participation in MAIT campaigns, as the responsible structural engineer; Model correlation in relation to test data; Documentation of the work, and presentation and justification of the work in reviews; Direct interfacing with customers on technical level when needed; Supervision and mentoring of junior colleagues; Participation and active contribution to team and company development, e.g., generating/supporting novel technical ideas/innovations, new processes/methods, new ways of work and positive work culture; Contribute to commercial activities including (technical) proposal preparation and offers. Qualifications A Master’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, or similar; At least 3 years of relevant industrial work experience as structural/mechanical engineer; Applied experience with a NASTRAN-based FEM package in space; Experience with optomechanical systems is a strong asset; Applied experience with CAD software, manufacturing drawings and GD&T (ideally Solidworks or Catia), is an asset; Experience with FEMAP is considered an asset; Ability to work autonomously and self-managed; Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU; Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
