A multinational industrial group with a presence in Europe, the U.S., and LATAM is looking to hire a Tax Manager to lead and strengthen its tax function in Spain.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Global Tax Director. This is an excellent opportunity to combine local tax management with international exposure and participation in global projects.
MISSION:
The selected candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of tax matters in Spain, with a strong focus on VAT and Corporate Income Tax, while also supporting the group’s international tax coordination.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
~ Tax Compliance & Reporting (Spain)
Full ownership of Spanish tax obligations: VAT (incl. SII), CIT, WHT and other filings
Review of returns prepared internally or by external advisors
Management of external advisors
Monitoring and assessing tax law changes
~ Tax Audits & Controversy
Manage tax audits and inspections
Define strategy and coordinate responses
Liaise with tax authorities and advisors
~ VAT & Operational Tax
Lead VAT analysis on business operations (B2B/B2C, cross-border flows)
Ensure correct VAT treatment and recovery
Advise business on invoicing and operational topics
~ Corporate Income Tax (CIT)
Review tax provisions and calculations
Monitor tax positions and risks
Identify optimization opportunities
~ Digitalization & Process Improvement
Support tax digital tools and reporting systems
Improve processes, controls and documentation
Contribute to automation initiatives
~ Business Partnering
Provide tax advice to Finance, Legal and other teams
Integrate tax perspectives into business decisions
~ Global Coordination
Support international tax matters and group projects
Assist coordination across jurisdictions
~ Transfer Pricing (Coordination)
Coordinate TP documentation with advisors
Monitor intercompany transactions and compliance
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• 5–8 years of experience in tax (Big Four and/or in-house)
• Strong expertise in Spanish VAT and Corporate Income Tax
• Experience managing tax compliance and dealing with tax authorities
• Solid understanding of international tax concepts is a plus
• Fluent in English and Spanish
