We are seeking a freelance Wi‑Fi Site Survey Engineer to conduct a full site walkthrough and assessment of installed Access Points (APs). The engineer will validate inventory, capture photographic evidence, perform a Wi‑Fi survey using Ekahau, and document environmental factors impacting performance. This is a short‑term, onsite assignment requiring technical precision and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform a complete site walkthrough to identify and count all installed Access Points (APs).
Capture near and far photographs of each AP for documentation.
Verify AP inventory, mounting location, height, and environmental conditions.
Conduct Wi‑Fi survey using Ekahau tool to measure coverage, performance, and interference.
Record obstacles and environmental factors affecting Wi‑Fi performance.
Collaborate with the tech team during knowledge transfer (KT) sessions on tool/software usage.
Deliver a detailed survey report with findings and recommendations
Requirements
Prior experience in Wi‑Fi site surveys, network engineering, or related freelance projects.
Hands‑on knowledge of Ekahau or similar Wi‑Fi survey tools.
Strong understanding of wireless networking concepts and AP deployment best practices.
Ability to document findings clearly with photos and structured reports.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Availability to work onsite in Burgos, Spain.
Tools & Equipment
Business laptop with minimum 16GB RAM and charger.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Safety shoes, helmet, safety jacket .
