To help us get there, our Data team is on the lookout for a new Data Operations Manager to lead the new DataOps vertical.About the r ole:The position is a hands-on DataOpS manager role, with a primary focus on designing and managing the data operations and architecture framework covering the entire lifecycle on PayRetailers data assets.Your responsibilities:Automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of data pipelines and services using modern DataOps practices.Define, implement, and maintain governance policies for data pipelines and cloud data services. Develop and manage dashboards, metrics, and KPIs to monitor operational performance, job executions, and system reliability.Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve data-related incidents and performance bottlenecks, ensuring minimal downtime and impact.Lead initiatives to adopt industry best practices in data integration, data security, performance optimization, and infrastructure as code.Work closely with software development, cloud infrastructure, and security teams. Mentor data engineers and DataOps specialists, and provide technical guidance on architectural decisions and process improvements.Provide management with accurate task duration estimates, technical insights, and recommendations for future enhancements in data operations.About you:Degree in Computer Engineering or similar.5+ years of overall technical experience, including at least 3+ years with a proven track record in DataOps and data engineering (experience with ML is a plus).Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Team player collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in data operations.Proficiency in designing and deploying CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and infrastructure.Extensive experience in in data integration, deployment, monitoring, and security,Deep understanding of cloud data engineering (preferably on Azure) and experience working with tools such as Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Event Hub, CosmosDB, MongoDb, Kafka/NatsExpertise in Python and SQL skills.Solid background in building and operating highly available, distributed systems for data ingestion, processing, and storage.Familiarity with monitoring tools and practices (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and logging tools (e.g., Filebeat, Logstash, Vector).What do we offer:Fully remote 26 vacation days a yearLanguage classes & professional coursesFree catering & snacks in the officePrivate health insuranceFree lunch at the officeAn afternoon off on your birthdayIf you’re passionate about tech, innovation, and want to thrive in an environment that values collaboration and diversity, this role might be the perfect fit for you!Apply today and help us shape the future of the PayTech industry!To get an idea of what life at PayRetailers is like, check out our Instagram and our About Us page.Our commitment to diversity, equity & inclusionAt PayRetailers, diversity, equity, and inclusion aren't just values – they're fundamental to who we are.
