Structural Civil Engineer – Underground Structures (Metro Tunneling Project)Location: Madrid, SpainStart Date: ASAPContract Duration: Initial 12-month contractWork Arrangement: Hybrid rotation (office / site / remote as required)Project OverviewWe are supporting a major metro tunneling project in Madrid and are seeking an experienced Structural Civil Engineer with a strong background in underground structures and tunneling. The client is well known for delivering complex infrastructure projects and is typically a higher payer for the right expertise.Role & ResponsibilitiesStructural design and analysis of underground and tunneling structuresDesign, calculation, and verification of:Reinforced concrete structuresSteel structuresTechnical input into tunneling and geotechnical aspectsStructural calculations and design verificationPreparation and review of:Technical reportsDesign checks and supporting documentationTechnical assistance with drafting and design developmentCollaboration with multidisciplinary teams across a hybrid working rotationRequired Experience & SkillsDegree in Civil Engineering with a structural focusProven experience in underground structures, ideally on metro or tunneling projectsStrong knowledge of:Reinforced concreteSteel structuresExperience with calculations, verification, and reportingWhat’s on OfferInitial 12-month contract on a long-term infrastructure projectHybrid rotation of work, balancing flexibility with project needsImmediate start on a high-profile metro tunneling projectOpportunity to work in Madrid on technically complex underground worksApply below or reach me via: louis.main@g2recruitment.com
